Marjan N Rad

Marjan’s work present a narrative of abstraction and realism. Similar to most painters, Marjan started her painting journey in her youth. She learned sketching when she was only ten years old and continued her way by charcoal, watercolor, and oil color painting.  Although Marjan received her B.Sc. in electrical engineering, she continued her adventure to pursue her interest in arts by studying painting, motion media, animation, sculpture, and fashion illustration. Her knowledge and experience in materials, shapes, and textures led her to become specialized in various techniques. When she was only 24, she had her first solo exhibition presenting her watercolor artworks to the public. “I found that I was inspired not by fame and fortune, but by the simple act of painting straight from the heart, putting on canvas the natural wonders and images that touched me the most”, she expressed how she creates her artworks.
